Product Launch

Overview

In May of 2025, Airbnb announced the launch of a new product called "Experiences." We were asked to create a show-stopping video that Brian Chesky (founder) could play at the beginning of the launch keynote to build energy and excitement about the launch. I worked for several months with the top creative leadership at Airbnb to get this film to a place that authentically accomplished our brief.

The film was shot documentary-style, following local hosts as they shared their passions and perspectives on "their Paris." We wove together a wide range of unique Parisian experiences, from baking with the French Bastards and learning to dance burlesque on the Crazy Horse stage to cruising the city in a vintage motorcycle sidecar. The project was executed on a condensed timeline, moving from creative reviews in mid-March to a final picture lock in early May, with a concentrated 11-day shoot window in early April.

Results

The "Experiences" product generated over 250,000 bookings and expanded to 75+ cities in the first quarter following this successful launch.
